Grit We have no0w finished the Grit theme, to conclude, I will leave below a link for a Grit test, what better way to evaluate yourself than looking at yourslef (practically), because they are your selts they will reflect your personality. To take the test, click here. First you will have to create an account on some easy steps, the you can click on Grit Survey. Hope you have perseverance on your life from now on, don't give up! “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
Grit Sometimes you will feel like giving up due to the circumstances, just as we talked before, but as I said, it's really important to know when is really the time to give up. Ask yourself "Isd this really the most I can do?, Have cirmustances gone so far?" If the answer is no, go on, look for inspiration, but apply transpiration (work)
By the other side, if the answer is yes, it is time to give up on that thing, but I really ask you to consider everything before doing this.
With this phrase Henry Ford told us not to give up so easily, even when everything seemed ruined and against you.
There are two kinds of people in life, the winnners and the losers.
Grit/Perseverance is like a curtain that divides this two kinds of people.
The difference between quitting and going on with a goal, of course you should know when it's time to quit and when it's possible to continue, because no matter what you do there will always be time in which quitting will be something necessary sonner or later, but being lazy it's not an excuse.
Failing is not what makes you a loser, it's failing without getting up.
We can confirm this with our old pal Benjamin Franklin.
Grit or perseverance is nos giving up, or at least that is its simple definition, but the "good" one, is "firmness of mind or spirit, unyielding courage in the face or hardship of danger" this is the Merriam-Webster's concept of grit, and I think it's pretty accurate, with its keywords like firmness, spirit, and courage, in my opinion this is the true definition of grit. There's this image with the definition of grit by Angela Duckworth, a specialist in grit and self-control, which is pretty accurate too.
Zest is living with joy and vigor, it is si important for the human being that not having it can lead to catastrophic resulsts. If you are low on zest you are missing vitality, zest is the second character strenght leading to well-being (just after hope), so it is really important to be happy in life. Zest is defined as "a sense of expectation, intuition, hope, energy and excitement." It is basically your main source for beginning to be happy and enjoy your life. Zest is also highly contagious, if you have zest and you see someone sad, better go with him/her and give a little taste of how beautiful life cn get to be when you are positive and you see the half full, or maybe sometime when you are sad (because you can't always be happy to be honest) someone will go and bring you happiness. A life without zest is a life with no sense.
Look at this quote from Norman Vincent Pale, an actor that promoted the positive thinking.
This phrase remarks what we saw the last day, about giving to others and recieving back, if you enjoy other people's happiness, you also might like to give things to them, even when they are not physical, when you give, you receive and that's one of the things that makes things beautiful, and one of the things that is worth having zest for.
Zest (not the soap) Have you ever felt like life is boring? Like the things you do every day have no sense any more? Have you ever felt like you have fallen in routine? This is because you have lost the zest and joy in life. Today we will give you some advices of how to recover it. 1.-Take responsibilty for your life. Is nonsense to blame others for your actions. 2.-Forgive others and yourself. Move on. 3.-Learn to love your life the way it is. See the postive side of things. 4.-Give to others what you would live to be given. They will give it back. 5.-Balance your time for the most important things. Specially the things that will lead you to happines. 6.-Always do your best. You will feel satisfaction with yurslef. 7.-Be nice to yourself. There's no point in being angry at your own. 8.-Define what you value the most. Try to enjoy it every moment. 9.-Spent time for yourself. Meditate about daily things and how to make them better. 10.-Go around with positive people. And also be it, it sticks to others. Just following these simple steps slowly, I assure you can be happy again and feel the excitment every day. :)
Always live life like an adventure, be enthusiastic on every aspect of your life, be open to try new things with excitment, find pleasure on the little things and remember old things with nostalgia. Face problems in life, willing to learn from them, not just to getting rid of them. Share your joy with people around you. Be happy in life. Briefly, have zest. :)
Zest What is zest? Zest is a way of life, it refers to living with excitment on everything you do. So besides being a way of life it is also a characteristic where you do all your decisions with joy and energy, and you never give up on things.
People with zest are easily recognized by their energy and enthusiasm, they live every moment with enthusiasm, which often spreads to people around them and helps them on their life.
